I’m Dr Jacqui Johnson

I am a passionate advocate for ADHD, believing it’s not a disorder but a unique way of thinking and interacting with the world.

With over 13 years of experience working with individuals with ADHD, I have served as a family social worker and, more recently, as an ADHD coach. I hold a PhD and Masters from the University of Canterbury in Christchurch and earned my coaching certification from the ADD Academy in New York.

My diverse social work career spans multiple sectors. I completed doctoral research within the prison system, exploring the experiences of mothers in the women’s prisons. I have taught Social Work at the tertiary level, worked in the non-government sector supporting vulnerable populations, and spent time within the Ministry, helping families facing complex challenges.

In addition to my professional experience, I bring personal insight from living with ADHD within my own family. I understand both the challenges and importantly, the strengths that come with a unique perspective of the world.

Partnering with ADHD was created from this combination of lived experience, research, and professional practice. As the founder of this service I am committed to empowering individuals and families to thrive, even in the face of adversity and ultimately feel confident in their partnership with ADHD.
